Cannon is a CBS detective series that ran from 1971 to 1976, following private investigator Frank Cannon, played by William Conrad. The show marked the first Quinn Martin production to air on a network other than ABC. Cannon built a reputation for gritty, methodical detective work as Frank pursued cases across Los Angeles, relying on street smarts and persistence rather than flashy heroics. The series became a fixture of 1970s crime television, spawning 124 episodes and a 1980 television film revival, The Return of Frank Cannon.
