Blood & Orchids(1986)

Blood & Orchids is a television series that examines racial injustice in 1930s Hawaii. When Hester Murdoch is found brutally assaulted on a beach, four young Hawaiian men who attempt to help her become the prime suspects. Hester's politically connected mother, desperate to avoid scandal, coerces her daughter into falsely accusing the men of rape and assault. Detective Curt Maddox and a determined Hawaiian lawyer must uncover the truth and mount an impossible defense in a court system stacked against them. The series explores how prejudice, power, and social standing can corrupt justice, following their fight to prove innocence against overwhelming racial bias and institutional corruption.
