Song of Phoenix is a historical drama set during China's Warring States period. Qu Yuan, a brilliant scholar from an aristocratic family, defies social convention by falling in love with Mo Chou Nu, a slave. When society forbids their union, the couple elopes in search of a peaceful life together. But their escape proves impossible—palace politics and power struggles soon pull them back into the turmoil they tried to escape. As dangerous forces close in, Qu Yuan and Chou Nu must fight to protect their forbidden love against overwhelming odds.
