Kronprinsessan(2006)

Kronprinsessan is a Swedish drama series that follows Charlotte Ekeblad, who accepts a position as Minister of Environment in Parliament just before Christmas. The role offers little real power, yet allows the Prime Minister to project a modern, progressive image. Charlotte finds herself caught between ambition and family life, while her husband struggles with becoming the secondary partner at home. Resistance from the male-dominated government intensifies the strain. As political pressures mount, the marriage begins to fracture, forcing Charlotte to confront a difficult question: whether the cost of wielding influence is worth the damage to her personal life.
