The Golden Horde(2018)

The Golden Horde is a historical drama set in thirteenth-century Russia, where political ambition and forbidden love collide. When Mengu-Temir, an envoy of the Mongol Golden Horde, arrives in the Russian capital demanding soldiers and the princess Ustinia as ransom, Grand Duke Yaroslav faces an impossible choice. His brother Boris surrenders his own wife to secure the throne, but Mengu leaves behind Nargiz, a young woman whose presence awakens Yaroslav's heart and forces him toward a fateful decision. Torn between passion for Nargiz and duty to his throne, family, and faith, Yaroslav must navigate the treacherous politics of medieval Russia while defying both his people and his lawful wife. The film explores the cost of desire when power and honor hang in the balance.
