Good Partner(2016)

Good Partner is a Japanese legal drama following Sakisaka Kento, a principled lawyer known for his sharp instincts and willingness to challenge injustice. His career is stellar, but his weakness is Natsume Yoshie—his ex-wife and fellow attorney at the same firm. Since their divorce, Kento has raised their daughter Mizuki alone. Yoshie is equally accomplished: a perfectionist with uncompromising standards who commands respect in the courtroom. When these rival lawyers clash over cases, their arguments are rigorous and reasoned. But when emotions run high, their professional facades crack. They slip into old habits, calling each other "papa" and "mama" as their quarrels devolve into the bickering of a couple who never quite stopped being one. Their chemistry—part antagonism, part unresolved connection—drives the series as they navigate law, parenthood, and the complicated space between exes.
