Hide and Seek(2019)

Hide and Seek is a Russian crime drama that begins with a father searching for his daughter during an innocent game of hide-and-seek—only to discover she's vanished. When a video surfaces showing the girl holding a sign bearing cryptic numbers, the case spirals into something far darker: a series of child disappearances plaguing a small industrial town. Young detectives Varta Naumova and Maksim Shumov are assigned to investigate, but the case becomes deeply personal. Varta is guarded and protective of her boundaries, while Maksim presents an easygoing exterior. Both carry unresolved trauma that the investigation forces them to confront. As they hunt for the kidnapper and missing children, they must also reckon with their own haunted pasts, blurring the line between professional duty and personal reckoning.
