The House on the Slope(2019)

The House on the Slope is a Japanese drama series that explores the collision between judgment and empathy. Yamazaki Risako, a mother of a young daughter, is selected as an alternate juror for a shocking case: Ando Mizuho, a housewife her own age, stands accused of drowning her 8-month-old daughter. Risako's initial revulsion at the crime begins to fracture as the trial unfolds and Mizuho's circumstances mirror painful echoes from Risako's own past. As buried emotions surface, Risako finds herself caught between her role as an impartial juror and the complicated feelings of a woman who understands motherhood's darker struggles.
