Heavy Metal L-Gaim(1984)

Heavy Metal L-Gaim is a 1984 anime series directed by Yoshiyuki Tomino, with mecha design by Mamoru Nagano. Set in the Pentagona System—five planets under the iron rule of Emperor Oldna Poseidal and his 24 Temple Knights—the story follows Daba Myroad, the hidden heir to the Yaman Clan. Fifteen years after his father's defeat on Mizum in 3975, Daba emerges from hiding with the legendary white mecha L-Gaim to lead a desperate rebellion against Poseidal's dominion. As he rallies resistance across the planets, Daba must master his giant robot and unite fractured worlds to overthrow an empire that seemed unshakeable.
