Becoming Lee is a documentary series following a carpenter's journey of self-discovery and transition. From childhood, the subject felt fundamentally at odds with her assigned sex, a disconnect that deepened over decades of concealment. Unable to ignore the persistent sense of living in the wrong body, Lee ultimately chose to pursue medical transition. The series chronicles the physical, emotional, and social dimensions of this transformation, exploring what it means to finally align one's external reality with internal identity. Intimate and unflinching, Becoming Lee captures both the challenges and liberation that come with embracing authentic selfhood.
