Bonekickers(2008)

Bonekickers is a BBC drama following a team of archaeologists at the fictional Wessex University who uncover mysteries buried beneath the English landscape. Created by the writers behind Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes, the series blends crime procedural thrills with archaeological discovery and conspiracy theories, earning comparisons to CSI meets Indiana Jones. The six-episode run, which premiered in July 2008, was filmed across Bath and Somerset, drawing on real archaeological expertise as consultant. Though critically intriguing, Bonekickers aired for only one series before the BBC decided against renewal.
