Candide is a 13-episode series that reimagines Voltaire's philosophical novella for the modern world. The protagonist pursues his beloved Cunégonde across wildly different contemporary settings—from a California startup to a fictional North-Optimistan and into deep space—while heeding his mentor Pangloss's advice to remain optimistic no matter what. Along the way, Candide encounters the world's harsh realities and moral contradictions.
