Liars(2021)

Liars is a French drama series that explores the murky aftermath of a night gone wrong. Thomas Villeneuve, a respected surgeon, invites Jeanne Sarlat, a recently separated woman, to dinner. What begins as a promising evening unravels when Jeanne accuses Thomas of rape the following morning. Thomas denies the allegations entirely. As the two become locked in an escalating confrontation, neither party shows any sign of backing down, forcing those around them to navigate impossible questions about consent, memory, and credibility. The series examines how quickly trust can shatter and how difficult it becomes to establish truth when two people tell fundamentally opposing versions of the same night.
