Our Time Will Come(2024)

Our Time Will Come is a historical drama set in 1918 Shanghai, following two young activists, Zhong Wan and Xie Yibai, who establish literacy classes for dock workers. Driven by idealism and a shared commitment to social change, they champion workers' rights during a pivotal moment in Chinese history. Their efforts extend to supporting He Baoren as political upheaval builds toward the May Fourth Movement. The series captures the passion and sacrifice of those who risked everything to inspire ordinary people and reshape their society. Against the backdrop of colonial Shanghai's turbulent streets, it explores themes of education, solidarity, and the personal cost of revolution.
