Overlord(2015)

Overlord is an anime series set in 2138, where virtual reality gaming dominates society. When the MMORPG Yggdrasil shuts down, a player named Momonga refuses to log out and finds himself trapped in the game world, transformed into a powerful skeletal wizard. As NPCs inexplicably gain sentience and emotions, Momonga discovers the game has become a tangible reality. Isolated and without ties to the real world, he abandons his humanity and embraces his new identity, plotting to conquer this transformed realm. The series follows his ascent from ordinary player to supreme overlord, exploring themes of power, isolation, and the blurred lines between virtual and real existence.
