Review is a comedy series following Forrest MacNeil, a television critic who takes viewer requests to extreme lengths. Rather than reviewing films or restaurants, MacNeil personally experiences whatever his audience suggests—from petty theft to drug use to celebrity encounters—then rates each adventure on a five-star scale. His commitment to authentic critique becomes increasingly reckless as he chases ever more dangerous and outlandish experiences. What begins as a novel premise quickly spirals into chaos as MacNeil grapples with serious consequences: damaged relationships, legal trouble, and genuine physical and psychological harm. The show balances dark comedy with genuine pathos, exploring how far someone will go in pursuit of credibility and connection. MacNeil's misguided quest to understand human experience through radical participation becomes both absurd and unexpectedly poignant.
