The Lettuce(2019)

The Lettuce is a Chinese war drama set during the Second Sino-Japanese War. After Japanese collaborators kill his father, a farmer abandons his rural life to join the Eighth Route Army. His family becomes entangled in the resistance movement as he takes on increasingly dangerous missions. When tragedy befalls those close to him, he goes undercover in occupied territory, risking everything to help liberate his hometown.
