The Standard(1978)

The Standard is a 1978 British television series that follows the staff of a struggling Scottish newspaper fighting to save their publication from collapse. The drama centres on journalists and administrators working together to reverse the paper's declining fortunes through investigative reporting and tough editorial decisions. Produced by BBC Scotland and broadcast on BBC1, the series captures the pressures and politics of newspaper life during a period of industry decline.
