Without Secrets(1984)

Without Secrets is an Israeli educational television series that aired from 1983 to 1986, designed to teach reading skills to elementary school children. The show combined songs, sketches, and animated segments to make literacy engaging and accessible. Hosted by Hanny Nahmias, Oshik Levi, Natan Natanzon, and Hanan Goldblat, the series featured memorable characters like Gashash Balash and Itonish, alongside appearances by actors including Ofra Haza and Shula Hen. Plasticine animation introduced characters Alphy and Betty to reinforce learning concepts. Without Secrets was integrated into the school curriculum and supported by study and enrichment booklets published by the Center for Educational Technology. The show was rebroadcast in the mid-1990s and became a pioneering model for televised reading instruction in Israel.
