Kiss, Kiss, Dahlings(1992)

Kiss, Kiss, Dahlings is a short comedy that traces three generations of women through their passion for performance across a century. The film jumps between backstage at Moscow Art Theatre in 1900, a college theater in 1956, and the makeup room of the Charlie Rose television program in 1992. A grandmother, daughter, and granddaughter each navigate their own era's theatrical world, their shared love of acting binding them across time. Originally commissioned for PBS's Great Performances 20th Anniversary special, the piece captures how the stage—and the devotion it demands—endures through changing times and cultures.
