Driftwood(2006)

Driftwood is a dark drama following 16-year-old David Forrester, who spirals into an obsession with death after his rock star brother dies. Wracked with guilt, David is shipped off by his desperate parents to Driftwood, a brutal "Attitude Adjustment Camp for Troubled Youths." There, he encounters Captain Doug Kennedy, a sadistic camp director, and Yates, his violent enforcer. What begins as a supposed rehabilitation quickly becomes a nightmare of psychological and physical abuse. David must navigate the camp's cruelty while grappling with his grief and the question of whether survival means compromising who he is. The film explores how institutions meant to help can become instruments of harm, trapping vulnerable teens in cycles of trauma.
