Dancing in the Dust(1989)

Dancing in the Dust is a satirical film set in an African village where the chief, known as "Demi Dieu" (half-god), already commands five wives. Believing himself second only to God in power and possession, he pursues a sixth wife to complete his collection—one for each day of the week, reserving Sundays for rest. The film explores themes of authority, desire, and the absurdity of unchecked power through dark comedy, following the chief's pursuit and the consequences that unfold within his polygamous household and community.
