Incident at Blood Pass(1970)

Incident at Blood Pass is a samurai film set during Japan's Edo period. A nameless ronin arrives at a remote mountain inn, ostensibly to wait for a gold shipment passing through the area. He soon discovers the inn houses a gang planning to steal the shogunate gold—and that his true assignment is to help them kill the innocent residents, including a woman he's already saved from her abusive husband. Caught between duty and conscience, the ronin learns the gold run is itself a trap, and he's been positioned as the bait in a larger double cross. Torn between his samurai code and unexpected compassion, he must navigate conflicting loyalties that test both his honor and his heart.
