Ezhamathe Varavu(2013)

Ezhamathe Varavu is a Malayalam film set in the forests of Wayanad that explores the fragile bond between humans and nature. Gopi, a wealthy planter and self-assured hunter, believes he understands the jungle and its creatures. His marriage to Bhavana, who yearns for his attention and affection, grows increasingly strained. When Vineeth, an archaeologist excavating in the region, arrives—and is revealed to be Bhavana's former college boyfriend—the couple's relationship fractures further. Kavitha plays a tribal woman who guides Vineeth through the forest and its hidden world. As the characters navigate desire, jealousy and the untamed wilderness, the film weaves together their personal conflicts with larger questions about humanity's place in nature.
