A Man in Our House(1961)

A Man in Our House is an Egyptian political thriller following rebel Ibrahim Hamdy after he assassinates a pro-colonial Prime Minister and goes into hiding. Arrested and desperate, he takes refuge with a reluctant university student who eventually shelters him. As Ibrahim infiltrates the household of Abdul Hamid Khatib, he meets Samia and her younger sister Nawal, using family connections to advance his own agenda while the women become unwitting accomplices to his cause. When Abdul Hamid threatens to betray Ibrahim to the political police, Samia intervenes, drawing dangerous suspicion onto the entire family. The head of the secret police closes in, subjecting them to brutal interrogation. Defiant and refusing exile, Ibrahim remains committed to his revolutionary mission, determined to continue the fight against colonial rule regardless of the cost to those around him.
