Calendar Girl(1959)

Calendar Girl is a musical drama about a estranged family finding its way back together. Musician Sun Ping's two daughters—Yinzheng, who lives with him, and Jinliu, who lives with their mother—unexpectedly both enter a Calendar Girl pageant. Jinliu deliberately loses to help her sister win, but tensions rise when Yinzheng wants to quit performing to marry, disappointing their father. Jinliu's scheme to keep her sister in the show backfires, driving Yinzheng away. With Liu Bucheng's help, the sisters reunite for a final performance that heals old wounds. As they take the stage together, their parents reconcile, proving that music and family bonds can bridge even the deepest divides.
