Hindernisse des Herzens is a German drama following competition rider Andrea Bruckheim as her world unravels after her prized horse Magic dies during a competition. Already strained, her marriage to Thomas deteriorates further as they struggle to keep their riding school and hotel afloat. Thomas hires his childhood friend Hans Duwe as an instructor, unaware that Hans harbored feelings for Andrea since witnessing her accident. As Hans's affection resurfaces and Andrea finds herself drawn to him, the couple faces a crisis that threatens both their marriage and their shared business.
