Coyote Summer(1996)

Coyote Summer is a coming-of-age film about a rebellious teenager sent to her aunt's ranch to learn discipline. Sullen at first, Callie discovers a wild black horse destined for slaughter and teams up with ranch hand Rafe to save it.
