A Place of One's Own(2009)

A Place of One's Own is a moody ghost story set in a sprawling mansion purchased by a retired tradesman unaware of its dark history. For four decades the house has sat empty, shunned by locals who claim it's haunted by a young woman who died within its walls. When the tradesman and his wife hire a housekeeper to maintain the property, inexplicable events begin to unfold. The housekeeper falls gravely ill, seemingly possessed by the spirit of the dead girl, and demands to see the same doctor who attended the original victim forty years prior. A physician arrives and treats her, but the next morning brings a chilling discovery: the doctor was found dead in his carriage hours before he supposedly visited the house. Forced to confront the impossible, the skeptical tradesman finally accepts that supernatural forces have invaded his home.
