Kdyby byly ryby is a fantasy film set in the Kingdom of Three Ponds, once prosperous but now cursed—its waters emptied of fish, leaving the realm starving and fractured. King Boleslav's court descends into scheming as power-hungry courtiers, including the cunning trickster Nikdáš who wields a stolen magical rod, plot against one another. A young fisherman named Ludvík rises as an unlikely savior, determined to lift the curse and restore the kingdom's fisheries. His quest intertwines with a deeper ambition: winning the heart of Princess Lidunka. As Ludvík navigates treacherous court politics and dark magic, the fate of the entire kingdom rests on his shoulders.
