Angela(1996)

Angela is a psychological horror film following a ten-year-old girl who becomes convinced that she and her younger sister are evil and responsible for their mother's mental illness. Driven by disturbing religious visions, Angela subjects her six-year-old sister Ellie to increasingly dangerous "purification" rituals, believing they can prevent the devil from claiming them. She forces the girls to remain confined within circles of dolls and toys, waiting for visions of the Virgin Mary to save them. As Angela's delusions deepen and her control over Ellie tightens, the film spirals toward a dark conclusion rooted in her fractured mind. This unsettling exploration of childhood trauma and religious obsession builds to an ending as twisted as Angela's own deteriorating mental state.
