Legend of the Wolf(1997)

Legend of the Wolf is a martial arts film set in post-World War 2 China. A war veteran recounts his legendary past to a young killer, flashing back to when the amnesiac Wolf wandered the countryside searching for his identity. Guided by a local villager, he journeys toward an abandoned temple where Wai-Yee has been waiting for him. Wolf's memories remain locked away until dangerous enemies arrive, bringing with them the dark truth of his past. As violence erupts, Wolf must confront the secrets that shaped him and the man he once was.
