Licht über dem Wasser is a German drama following a reclusive author who has withdrawn to an Irish lighthouse after his wife's death. Posing as an ornithologist, Carolin arrives with ulterior motives, but the two form an unexpected connection as they navigate grief and isolation together. The film explores themes of loss, redemption, and human connection against the moody backdrop of the Irish coast.
