I Dream in Another Language is a drama about a dying indigenous language whose last two speakers haven't spoken in over fifty years following a bitter falling out. Martín, a young linguist, sets out to reunite the estranged friends and persuade them to speak again, hoping to record the language before it vanishes entirely. The film explores themes of cultural preservation, forgiveness, and the weight of linguistic heritage. As Martín navigates the complicated history between the two speakers, he uncovers deeper tensions rooted in their shared past. The story becomes as much about healing old wounds as it is about saving a language on the brink of extinction.
