The Lost Arcade(2015)

The Lost Arcade chronicles Chinatown Fair, a penny arcade that opened on Mott Street in 1944 and became a New York institution. For decades, the dimly lit venue drew crowds with its famous tic-tac-toe playing chicken and served as a gathering place for a diverse, unlikely community. The arcade survived gang turf wars, shifting entertainment trends, and the rise of home gaming systems that closed most competitors. But gentrification posed an existential threat.
