Shinsengumi: Assassins of Honor is a historical drama set during Japan's turbulent transition from Shogunate rule to imperial power in the late nineteenth century. As the nation stands on the brink of transformation, the Shinsengumi—a militia of samurai, farmers, and peasants—emerges to fight against the tide of change.
