The Code of Duel(2009)

The Code of Duel is a South Korean film set in a contemporary alternate reality where duels are legal. Yu Young-bin works as an office counselor by day, but he's a seasoned swordsman worn down by years of combat. When he visits a fencing center run by his friend Jin Woon-gwang, he encounters Choi Bon-guk, a volatile high school student who mirrors Yu's own reckless youth. As the two form an unlikely connection, Yu must confront the toll his dueling life has taken while grappling with whether he can guide the young man away from the same destructive path. The film explores honor, mentorship, and redemption through the lens of a world where martial combat remains a legal outlet for settling disputes.
