Hunting Venus(1999)

Hunting Venus follows Simon Delancey, a former pop star turned con artist, who gets kidnapped by two obsessed fans of his eighties band the Venus Hunters. Forced at gunpoint, Simon is blackmailed into reuniting the group for one last performance. What begins as a hostage situation spirals into an unexpected journey as the aging rockers confront their past glory, fractured relationships, and the question of whether the magic that made them famous can ever be recaptured. The film blends dark comedy with genuine pathos, exploring themes of fame, nostalgia, and redemption through the lens of washed-up musicians facing their most devoted—and dangerous—admirers.
