Ashura(2005)

Ashura is a fantasy film set in 19th-century Japan, adapted from a successful stage play. Izumo, a kabuki actor with a hidden past as a demon slayer, falls in love with Tsubaki, only to discover mysterious marks appearing on her body. As their connection deepens, a darker threat emerges: Ashura, the queen of all demons, is about to be resurrected and unleash destruction across the universe. Caught between his love and his duty as a slayer, Izumo must confront both personal desire and cosmic catastrophe.
