Dreams of Glass is a film about two people from starkly different worlds who fall in love. Ann comes from a wealthy Japanese-American family that runs a prestigious nursery and greenhouse business. Tom is the son of working-class fishermen who are self-employed and struggling to make ends meet. Despite their families' disapproval and the social divide between them, Tom and Ann forge a playful, tender romance. The film explores how their affection for each other tests family loyalty and class expectations, as both must decide whether their love is worth the conflict it creates at home.
