The Little Flowers in Tears(1969)

The Little Flowers in Tears is a romantic drama set in Taiwan, following Wang Yan-ru, a nightclub singer who also teaches at the orphanage where she was raised. Determined to help her students form a chorus and build independent futures, Yan-ru balances two worlds. When Malaysian tourist Chang Chi-cheng arrives in Taiwan, he discovers her double life and falls for her—and grows equally attached to the orphanage children. Chi-cheng's genuine care for the kids wins Yan-ru's heart. But his cousin Yu-ping, who harbors her own feelings for Chi-cheng, reveals the romance to his parents, threatening to unravel their budding relationship. The film explores love, loyalty, and sacrifice against the backdrop of an orphanage community.
