Criollo viejo(1924)

Criollo viejo is an Argentine drama set on a sprawling ranch in the Córdoba mountains. Don Armando de la Peña owns the estate, managed by the virtuous Pedro Oria and his family. Pedro's son Juan is idle and hot-tempered, while his brother Carlos embodies his father's integrity—yet Don Armando favors neither. The tension deepens when Don Armando's daughter Mercedes returns from the city, vain and dismissive of Carlos despite his devotion to her. Her contempt masks an emerging love she refuses to acknowledge. Complications multiply when Don Armando's own brother Carlos—a morally corrupt man—arrives. As these conflicting personalities collide on the isolated ranch, jealousy, pride, and hidden affections ignite a series of dramatic confrontations that test family bonds and reveal the true character of each member.
