What a Man Wants is a South Korean drama set on Jeju Island, following Seok-Geun, a middle-aged taxi driver trapped between desire and devotion. Married to Dam-Deok, Seok-Geun leads a double life—repeatedly unfaithful yet genuinely attached to his wife. The film explores the messy contradiction at the heart of his character: a man who loves his spouse while unable to resist temptation. As his infidelities accumulate, the fragile balance between his two worlds begins to crack, forcing both Seok-Geun and Dam-Deok to confront uncomfortable truths about marriage, commitment, and what it means to truly know another person. The island setting becomes a pressure cooker for their relationship, where escape seems impossible and secrets grow harder to keep.
