Doily's Summer of Freak Occurrences(2006)

Doily's Summer of Freak Occurrences is a surreal comedy following a man convinced he's the target of a supernatural vendetta. Living with his psychic wife Haley Comet, who conducts readings and takes on intimate clients, Doily spends his days gossiping with friends Terrace and Sabado. When summer arrives, bizarre events spiral out of control: a vengeful bee kills Terrace, who mysteriously returns to life; a client's hair is mysteriously cut and shampooed; and their friend Colby Jack transforms into a giant pot pie during a dinner party. Doily is attacked by a monster and even a household slipper, while grappling with a rekindled addiction to crystal meth. The nightmare escalates when Terrace reappears as a talking VCR. While Haley dismisses everything as random freak occurrences, Doily grows increasingly convinced someone is orchestrating these events to murder him. The film blends absurdist horror with dark humor as reality unravels around its paranoid protagonist.
