The Trail(2006)

The Trail is a coming-of-age adventure film following Grace, a 14-year-old girl who journeys to Africa to reunite with her estranged father after her mother's death. When his plane crashes in the desert, her father falls into the hands of ruthless diamond hunters. Determined to find him, Grace sets out on a perilous trek across the African landscape alongside Kadjiro, a family friend who becomes her guide and protector.
