The Doors of the 21st Century - L.A. Woman Live(2003)
The Doors of the 21st Century: L.A. Woman Live documents the tour that never happened. In 1971, Jim Morrison called from Paris, eager to hit the road after the critical success of the album L.A. Woman. He and the band discussed plans to expand their live sound by adding bassist Jerry Sheff to recreate the record's fuller arrangements. Morrison's unexpected death in Paris that July ended those dreams. Decades later, surviving members Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger, and John Densmore reunited with guitarist Ty Dennis to perform L.A. Woman in its entirety, finally realizing the vision Morrison had imagined. This concert film captures what might have been, honoring both the album's legacy and the unfinished chapter of rock's most iconic band.
