Freakshow(2007)

Freakshow is a modern crime thriller that reimagines Tod Browning's 1932 classic Freaks. A group of fugitive criminals takes jobs as security at a traveling circus, initially planning to rob the ticket sales. But Lucy, the gang's manipulative ringleader, has darker ambitions: she'll seduce and marry the aging circus owner Lon, then engineer his death to claim his fortune. The scheme unravels when the circus performers—the "freaks"—discover the plot. After the gang murders the youngest of them to keep her quiet, the circus folk swear brutal revenge. What follows is a savage reckoning where no one, especially Lucy, escapes the wrath of those they've wronged. The film balances dark humor with genuine menace as the hunters become the hunted.
