Karak is a Malaysian horror film following four college students driving back to Kuantan after a night in Kuala Lumpur. Stuck in traffic on the Karak highway, they abandon their route for a shortcut along an old single-lane trunk road to make their morning classes. The detour becomes a nightmare when they encounter something sinister on the deserted stretch. What begins as a simple decision to save time spirals into a terrifying ordeal that transforms their lives. The film taps into the dread of isolation and the unknown, set against the eerie backdrop of Malaysia's highways after dark.
