Butcher, Baker, Nightmare Maker is a 1981 psychological thriller about obsession and murder. Cheryl, rejected by her lover, clings desperately to her adopted nephew Billy, the only person left in her life. When her attempts to control him spiral out of control, she descends into violence, killing anyone who threatens to separate them. A detective investigating the murders becomes convinced that Billy is the real killer and pursues him relentlessly. As madness and fanaticism collide, the film twists the Oedipus myth into a nightmarish tale of bloodshed and delusion.
