Obsessed with writing new conclusions for each volume, he finds purpose in completing what others left unfinished. But Aggivald remains unaware that his own family carries a hidden history stretching back to the Soviet era—a story equally unresolved. As he works to close the narratives around him, the film gradually reveals how his personal quest mirrors a larger family mystery that refuses closure. Burnt Mistakes blends magical realism with intimate family drama, exploring themes of legacy, storytelling, and the human need to make sense of the past.
